This story blends academic ambition with mystery in a way that feels fresh and engaging. The setting is beautifully drawn—rich with French cultural references and Parisian charm. The plot kept me guessing, filled with twists, multiple suspects, and a motive that only reveals itself later on.

If you enjoy cozy mysteries with smart heroines, strong character development, and a Parisian backdrop, Finding Julia is a must-read.

I loved how Ana Cruz didn’t just write a whodunit but also a story about identity and belonging. Julia’s journey is messy, hopeful, and scary at the same time. Moving to a new city is overwhelming enough, but add a murder investigation, and it becomes unforgettable. Cruz’s descriptions of Paris are rich and detailed—sometimes romantic, sometimes gritty. That contrast made the story feel grounded and real. An excellent read

Fabulous cosy mystery, if you want an easy ready that will leave you will a smile on your face then this is the book for you. Set in the heart of Paris, it has enough French dialogue to give that continental vibe & get you emersed into the Parisian culture. For me it reminded me of the cosy family nights in watching old detective series, this book just warmed my heart.

Julia is humorous, smart, and refreshingly honest. As she solved the puzzle, I loved following her around Paris. I would be happy to meet her again in a future voyage

In this new chapter of her life, Julia must juggle her research work with the increasingly appealing world of detective investigation, forcing her to question what she truly wants for her future. Will Julia pursue her career as a researcher?

Ana Cruz finds the perfect balance between self-discovery, mystery, and romance, making the story easy to enjoy.

Overall, Finding Julia is an entertaining and cozy story that delivers charm, intrigue and a touch of mystery.

This is the kind of book that stays in your mind because it’s about more than just the crime. Yes, the mystery is gripping, with twists that kept me second-guessing, but the real treasure here is Julia. She’s vulnerable yet determined, often lost but always searching for her place in the world. I admired the way the author balanced humor and heartbreak, especially through Rita’s character. Paris was described so vividly that I felt like I was walking its rainy streets with Julia. A wonderful, layered novel
